Description
The U.S. Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB) has a requirement for the design of a state-of-the-art television news set and open newsroom environment to be located and integrated into the Agency's existing Voice of America (VOA) newsroom. A Multi-media Broadcasting Center (MBC) consisting (1) newsdesk sitting on 6" risers with two anchor positions with monitors built into the desk, space for laptops, built-in lights, space for telephones, and at least one extra position for a guest; (2) side sets for conversational interviews in proximity to the main anchor desk; (3) the main background area behind these sets should be dressed with TV monitors or flat panels, clocks, VOA logo, etc., and (4) redecorate the portion of the VOA news room that will be seen by the six robotic cameras to compliment the contractor's design of the open newsroom environment. The open background newsroom should also include the design of an active assignment desk area situated behind the two news anchors. Visual improvements should include all walls, building support columns, windows, and ceiling tile treatment visible to the six robotic cameras. Interested firms who desire to obtain a copy of the RFP document shall submit a written request to the BBG Contracting Officer at the above-listed address or via e-mail kharper@ibb.gov.
