- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to procure on a sole-source basis from Marconi Communications Federal, Inc., 5457 Twin Knolls Rd., Suite 101, Columbia, MD 21045, hardware/software support to critical XDT programs. Marconi is the developer, designer, and manufacturer of the software and hardware parts which are proprietary. They can provide current updates and effective software support, which is not available from any other vendor. The North American Industry Classification System code is 541519. The contract shall be a firm fixed priced contract. FOB Destination, Dahlgren, VA shall apply. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N00178-03-Q-1049 and is a Request for Quote. The solicitation document and incorporated provi sions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-15. All interested parties shall contact the contract specialist at (540) 653-7478 or xds11@nswc.navy.mil and indicate their interest and capability to receive a list of the equipment. This procurement is DO priority rated. Quote is due 5 September 2003 no later than 2:00 p.m. (local NSWCDD time) to: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Building 183, First Floor, Room 102, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100 and anticipated award by 30 September 2003. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition arena; therefore, this synopsis/solicitation with any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/wwwDL/XD/SUPPLY. Vendors sho uld regularly access the NSWCDD web site to ensure that they have downloaded all amendments. In order to be eligible for award firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Quoters may obtain information on registration in the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Please note that defense payment offices may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT). EFT payments are based on the contractor's EFT information contained in the CCR database.
