- NA The US Army Communications and Electronics Command Washington anticipates entering into sole source procurement with Austin Information Systems (AIS) for the ASAS Light. The ASAS light provides the warfighter with an interoperabe, user friendly, affordabl e, supportable intelligence effects and weather system for the development of automated intelligence fusion technologies and dissemination systems to create reliable enemy picture throughout all echelons. ASAS light, is a Microsoft Windows based system is currently being fielded to the US Army on a hardware platform. This requirement is under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(1) based on the determination that the Government needs can be satisfied by only one source. Adequate technical data is not available for this acquisition. The right to use the data needed to purchase this system from additional sources are not owned by the Government. Firms that recognize and can produce the required system described above are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by this Agency. This acquisition is a Cost Plus Fixed-Fee Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type Contract for 5 years. The U.S. Army Communica tions Electronics Command (CECOM) has established the Interactive Interagency Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) website to allow electronic transmittal of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Invitations for Bid (IFBs) from CECOM to Industry.
