- This contract shall be awarded for SCIF Building Upgrade, TMKH 02-1075, at Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina. This project is restricted to Historically Underutilized Businesses (Certified HUB zone). This project includes the upgrading of rooms 223, 224, and 225 to Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facilities through the purchase and installation of wall insulation, an intrusion detection system, ground electrical conduits, shielding on chilled water and fire protection systems, double door demolition, patch wall, and install solid wood core door with an automatic closer with Kabo lockset, painting, protective steel grid, sound baffles, and inspection ports on the existing HVAC ductwork, in building 134, Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina. The performance period is 60 days. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238290 and the size standard of $12 million applies. All prospective offerors must have a Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code and be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov. Release of the solicitation will be via the Internet only. Interested parties may download the solicitation from http://www.eps.gov where it will be posted on or about 11 July 2003. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained within the solicitation package.
