- The VA Medical Center, White River Junction, Vermont intends to negotiate a sole source procurement for a DNA Engine Opticon 1 System (single wavelength) with MJ Research of Incline, NV. The system includes a DNA engine themal cycler chassis; 96-well alpha unit; opticon continuous flurescence detector;computer with windows XP operating system, opticon 15" flat panel monitor; hard shell microplates; 0.2ml optical flat strip caps, ultra clear; service for mating an opticon detector with a new DNA cyler and a new 96 well alpha unit; and warranty on complete system.This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation document is available and telephone requires will not be honored; however, interested parties may submit literature detailing how their services meet the VA requirements to the Contracting Officer. Responses received on or before August 29, 2003, will be considered. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice will be solely at the discretion of the Government.
