Description

The U. S. Department of Justice, Procurement Services Staff intends to acquire, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13-106-1 (b), Soliciting from a Single Source, expert software maintenance and support services for previously acquired custom designed NCR 5300 and custom Terradata systems from NCR Government Systems Corporation, 2 Choke Cherry Road, Rockville, MD 10850. The software is a custom proprietary product of the referenced vendor and is the only source known to provide the requirements. The vendor does not authorize third party maintenance for this product. The period of performance for this requirement shall be for 2004 Fiscal Year. The Government anticipates the award of a firm fixed price purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their capability to satisfy the Government's requirements no later than the response date above. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. A solicitation document is not available.
