- Description
- The purpose of this contract is to provide services for pre-commercial tree thinning of approximately 131 acres in stands approximately 19 to 31 years olds. The project area is located on the Petersburg Ranger District on the mainland at Thomas Bay, Southeast Alaska. Thomas Bay is accessible only via boat or plane. Thomas Bay has its own road system separate from Petersburg. Direct road access to some of the cutting units may not be possible. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about August 20, 2003 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation KTN-03-55. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 20 days calendar days after the solicitation issue date. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified via email of any changes to the project. To register, select ?Register to Receive Notification? and follow the steps. Follow the same procedure for EACH project. PLAN HOLDERS LISTS: The Interested Vendors List (IVL) has replaced the plan Holders Lists that was previously available with solicitation packages. Access the IVL for all projects through the FedBizOpps website. To register as an interested vendor, select ?Register as an Interested Vendor? and follow the steps. Follow this procedure for EACH project of interest. Use the Register as Interested Vendor option to add your company name to the IVL and then view or print the IVL by selecting ?View List of Interested Vendors? for each project.
