Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Canyonlands Field Station, Moab, UT intends to issue a modification to an existing sole source order for an increase in quantity and funds for chemical analysis/testing of soil samples, to Brigham Young University, Soil Testing Lab, 255 WIDB Provo, UT 84602. In order to make certain that the results from previous years and sites are comparable, it is imperative that we stay with this same soil testing facility for future samples. Changing testing facilities at this time would compromise the integrity of the science being performed. Period of performance is extended to April 30, 2005. This notice is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond within fifteen days of this announcement. All responses must be in writing by facsimile to the Contracting Officer at (650) 329-5114 or email vfriesner@usgs.gov. A determination not to continue with this acquisition based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition.
