- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) with TSI INCORPORATED PARTICLE INSTRUMENTS in St. Paul, MN for the purchase of two(2) Nano-Differential Mobility Analyzer (DMA), Model 3085 for use by the NIST, Process Measurements Division. The Nano DMA is able to separate and classify particles from 2.5 nanometers to 80 nanometers. ***Sole source determination is based on NIST?s evaluation of TSI?s Nano DMA Model 3085 and, its ability to classify lowest particle size among commercially available DMA systems. ***Delivery shall be FOB Destination. ***The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334516, and the size standard is 500 employees. ***No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, responses received by the due date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
