- PLEASE NOTE: ON SYNOPSIS POSTED JUNE 17, 2003, THE NAME OF THE ITEM HAS BEEN CHANGED FROM REFRIGERATOR, BLOOD COOLING & STORAGE UNIT TO PORTABLE, LOW POWERED, COOLING & STORAGE DEVICE. In addition, we are synopsizing concurrently a Request for Information (RFI - SP0200-03-RFI-8024): DSCP is hereby conducting market research to identify sources of a commercial off-the-shelf (or modified commercial off-the-shelf) portable, low powered, cooling and storage device used to transport blood products to wounded combatants while maintaining critical temperature range of the blood products to the point of use.
