- All questions pertaining to this solicitation will need to be sent to the Gov't by 15 Aug 2003(Close of Business).************************************************************************************************************************** Project to ?Repair Hangar Doors 1010, 1040 & 1080?. All work shall be done with the building occupied and the work area occupied. The contractor shall coordinate all work with the occupants, the Civil Engineering contract inspector, and the Contracting Officer. Work area is the southwest hangar bay door on hangar 1010, northwest hangar bay door on hangar 1040, and the northwest, southwest, and southeast hangar bay doors on hangar 1080 as shown on the drawings. Existing doors roll or slide horizontally on wheels guided by rails and are manually operated. Heavy railroad track type rails fixed to the concrete floor guide the doors at the bottom and support the door weight. Vertical ?knife edge? tracks affixed to the building guide the doors at the top. Each hangar bay doors consists of 10 each individual door leaves as shown on the drawings. Each leaf is 12?-0? in width and 28?-0? in height. Magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $750,000. Performance period is 240 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Solicitation is being issued for Full and Open Competition. Applicable NAICS code for this project is 238130 with a size standard of $11.5 million. Solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted through the electronic posting system (http://eps.gov/). Paper copies will not be provided. Funds are not currently available for this solicitation. Award of a contract as a result of this solicitation is contingent upon the availability of funds from which payment of this contract may be made. Contractors will be solely responsible for monitoring the Internet and obtaining the solicitation documents and any amendments.
