- Description
- The U. S. Department of Commerce, National Marine Fisheries Service, intends to procure construction services to demolish the Galveston East Lagoon Building at Galveston, Texas. The work consists of the demolition of approximately 3,400 square feet, elevated concrete structure (one story with tank structure at roof level). The structure contains small quantities of asbestos floor tiles and caulk, as well as PCB containing ballasts within electrical devices. All hazardous materials are to be removed and legally disposed of as part of the demolition project. The Contractor shall provide equipment, tools, labor, materials and supervision to complete the demolition. This is a total small business set-aside. Estimated construction cost is $25,000 to $100,000. Award will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. This work will be procured under the FAR Simplified Acquisitions Regulations. NAICS code 233320 applies. This will be a firm-fixed price procurement. Drawings and Specifications will be made available through Request for Quotation Number WC133F-03-RP-0259MLW which will be available on or about August 22, 2003. The Central Administrative Support Center, Acquisitions Management Division requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) before October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vendor is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following website: http://www.ccr.gov/. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all bidders must have a Dun & Bradstreet number.
