Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This request is being issued as a Request for Quotations #Q8304034655. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-15, dated July 24, 2003. FAR clauses and provision are available through Internet access at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business and the small business size is 500 employees. The North American Standard Industrial Classifications System (NAICS) code is 324121. This solicitation may be a multiple award. The following is a description of the requirements for this acquisition: ITEM #0001: 1000 Tons of Asphalt Hot Mix, State Highway Mix V; ITEM #0002: 3000 Tons of 3/4 inch Base Course material. FOB Destination, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. DELIVERY LOCATION: Mauna Loa Gravel Pit, off Highway 11, approximately 2 miles beyond Park entrance. Approximate start date: September 30, 2003, subject to award of contract. Quoters/Bidders must review and comply with the FAR Provisions or Clauses that apply to this solicitation.
