- 40 WATT DIODE PUMPED FIBER LASER. NAICS: 334516, SIC: 3826, FSC: 6650, SIZE STANDARD 500 employees. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i). The proposed source is IPG Photonics Corporation. The items being procured are one (1) 40 Watt, linearly polarized, fixed wavelength (+/- 0.3nm tenability TBD) diode pumped fiber laser PART # TLR-40-1910-LP and one (1) custom specified center output wavelength option. This equipment is required for development of mid-IR solid- state lasers and represents a unique experimental capability to the Air Force. This synopsis is being published for informational purposes only. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, the government will consider any quotations received within 10 days of the issuance of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
