Description

DESCRIPTION: This notice serves as Notice of Intention to issue a Prospectus to provide Guided Interpretive Whitewater River Tours on the Green and Yampa Rivers within Dinosaur National Monument. The National Park Service intends to award a total of eleven contracts. Nine contracts are to provide multi-day trips only. Two of the contracts are to provide both one-day and multi-day trips. The contracts have assigned launch dates and the number of authorized launches varies from contract to contract. Annual gross receipts also vary from contract to contract and cover a broad range from just over $6,000 to well over $300,000. The businesses must operate from out-of-park facilities; businesses are not allowed to have facilities inside the park. The businesses are seasonal in nature with the season beginning in May and ending in September. The length of the new contracts will be ten (10) years. All current operators have right of preference in renewal. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Prospectus will be issued August 18, 2003, for a 90-day response period. Offers for this Prospectus must be received by close of business (no later than 4:00 p.m.) on November 17, 2003, in the Business Resources Division, Intermountain Region, 12795 W. Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80228 (Federal Express address: same). There will be a printing cost recovery charge of $35 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $30 per copy to be picked up in person. Checks or money orders must be payable to The National Park Service. (Cash cannot be accepted).
