Description
This is a Market Research, Sources Sought synopsis seeking names of potential offeror?s capable of providing the equipment support requirements. The Marine Corps? basic requirement for basic Civil Engineering Supply Support to include Hardware, Building Materials, and other associated required items in support of the Installation and Logistics Directorate aboard the Marine Corps Logistics Command, Albany GA. Civil Engineering support requirements are anticipated to become the total responsibility of the contractor to establish and maintain adequate stock and supply levels based on historical usage data provided by the Government. The Contractor Owned Civil Engineering Supply Store (COCESS) will be physically located within facilities space provided by the Government with some Government Furnished Material (Shelving) being provided by the Maintenance Branch for contractor use in t he COCESS store. Potential offeror?s must be capable of meeting critical delivery requirements for providing a comprehensive range of parts support for all classes of equipment within a specified periods of time. The SIC code for this effort is anticipated to be 5084. However, as part of this requirement, supplies and materials in support of a broad range of Maintenance activities in various trade areas including but not limited to: (a) Building Trades including carpentry, painting, signage, locksmith, masonry; (b) Metal trades including plumbing, pipefitting, sheet metal, welding; (c) Grounds & Surfaced areas including pavement and grassed areas, improved, semi-improved areas. (d) Pest Control; (e) Electrical Trades including high voltage electrical, electrical, heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning. (f) Industrial equipment. (g) Utilities ope rations including water, wastewater, industrial wastewater, boiler operations, swimming pool operations, etc. This is not a formal request for proposal and no contract will result from this synopsis. Any subsequent solicitation will be synopsized prior to its release. Marine Corps Logistics Command is conducting market research in an attempt to promote full and open competition to the maximum extent practicable. It is desired that potential offerors have past experience and knowledge in a COCESS operation, but is not required. Respondents should submit their qualifications data including materials demonstrating their ability to meet the requirements stated above and submit to the above address. Respondents should include your firms Dun and Bradstreet Number (DUNS), Tax Identification Number (TIN) and Central Contractor Register Number (CCR). The Government will not pay for a ny materials furnished in response to this synopsis. Submittals furnished will not be returned to the sender.
