- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to solicit proposals to procure planning yard engineering and logistics services in support of the Deep Submergence Systems Program (DSSP), Program Executive Office, Submarines (PMS395). NAVSEA intends to issue the formal competitive solicitation on or about 25 Aug 2003. The Government intends to award a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract with a base year and four one-year options. In support of Submarine NR-1, the planning yard services and support shall include providing engineering, factory and field support with any material, facilities, quality control, training, inspection and testing, organization and management controls as needed by the Government. In addition, this support will provide engineering; logistic and industrial services for vehicle overhaul; equipment repair; maintenance and modifications; Ship Alterations (ShipAlts) ; and improvements to NR-1's control and display, navigation, viewing and sensor systems and equipment. The formal solicitation, numbered N00024-03-R-6228, shall be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities Web Page. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to independently review this web page frequently for updates to any and all documents. Potential offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation documents and amendments (if any). No paper copies of these documents will be issued.
