Description
The Military Sealift Command (MSC) requests that interested vendors capable of supplying the product described below forward detailed information concerning product specifications, availability, shipping, and typical pricing. Scope: Provision and shipment of unique overalls in various sizes to be utilized as personal protective equipment (PPE) for shipboard personnel of the Military Sealift Command. Product Description: 1. The garment must be 100% cotton heavy weight drill with weight between six (6) and eight (8) ounces. The garment must comply with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement Clause 225.7002-1, ?Restrictions?, relating to U.S. orgin. 2. The garment must be treated in such a way as to maintain shrinkage rates to less than three percent (3%). 3. The material color shall be ?Industrial Blue?. 4. The garment shall be treated or manufactured in such a way as to be fire retardant and maintain fire-retardancy through at least 60 machine washings. 5. The garment shall have the following construction details: a. Stud closure epaulettes b. Zipper front closure c. Right breast patch pocket with flap and zipper closure d. Left breast patch pocket with additional pencil pocket e. Name tag above left breast patch pocket f. Left arm pencil pocket g. Slant opening side pockets with pocket facing h. Left thigh patch pocket with flap i. Right thigh elasticized flashlight/wrench pocket j. Right back hip pocket k. Elasticized back panel l. Twin needle stitching and bar-tacking at stress points m. All snaps, buttons, and zippers that may contact skin shall be covered with lining to prevent burns from direct contact or irritation n. Space for the MSC logo (supplied by MSC), to be embroidered on the left breast. 6. Sizes to be determined. However, for purposes of this synopsis assume 40% medium, 30% large, and 30% small. Delivery schedule: FY04 ? 800 (300 no later than 12/31/03); FY05 ? 1000; FY06 ? 400; FY07 ? 400; FY08 ? 400. Delivery: All FY04 garments to be delivered to San Diego. FY05-08 locations to be determined.
