Description
The Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, FL intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract to provide maintenance and repair of (25) twenty-five automatic doors at the Eglin AFB Hospital and Satellite Pharmacy. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The announcement number is F77SGL313901. Contractor shall provide all management, tools, equipment, parts, and labor necessary for total door repair services to ensure continuous and safe operation in accordance with the statement of work. Preventative maintenance and repair shall cover all components of the automatic doors, including, but not limited to controller, switches, pads, actuators, door tracks and the actual doors. Contract base year period will be from approximately 01 Oct 2003 through 30 Sep 2004 with four one-year (12 month) option periods. A site visit shall be conducted on 21 Aug 03 at 1400 (2:00 P.M.) CST, IAW FAR 52.237-1 Site Visit (Apr 1984); all prospective contractors who wish to attend the site visit shall notify the contracting office NLT 1600 (4:00 P.M.) CST, 19 Aug 03. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-15. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses apply and may be accessed at http://farsite.hill.af.mil. The following clauses and provisions are hereby incorporated either by reference or by full text and are to remain in full force and effect in any resultant contract: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (July 2003) The National Acquisition Industrial Classification Standard Code (NAICS) proposed is 238290 and the business size standard is $12M. This requirement is unrestricted (full and open competition). Submit signed and dated quotations on pricing schedule with identification of personnel qualifications to AAC/PKOBC, Attn: Kendall Wagner, 205 West D. Avenue, Suite 541, Eglin AFB, FL 32542-6864 at or before 4:00P.M. Central Standard Time on 25 August 2003. Quotations may be faxed to 850-882-1680 or by E-mail at kendall.wagner@eglin.af.mil. The attached Statement of Work, Pricing Schedule, Wage Determination 1994-2121 Rev. 24, and Offeror Representations and Certifications are available for download. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions with offerors. The Government reserves the right to conduct discussions if later determined by the Contracting Officer to be necessary. Offerors shall be evaluated in accordance with FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items (Jan 1999), which is incorporated into this request for quote, with addendum to paragraph (a) as follows: The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers (i) technical capability of offerer to meet the government?s requirement shall be determined by reviewing personnel qualifications, and (ii) price. The government will make award to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is the greatest value to the government. Technical capability and price are of equal importance. Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (June 2003), with the quotation.
