- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration intends to award a purchase order with The Weather Channel to produce a 23-Minute Video Piece about Road Weather to be aired on the TWC network showcasing Road Weather. This video should make the case that something can be done about the weather and its affects on highway operations. It will also raise awareness of the solutions that are emerging and being implemented across the country and build support for these endeavors. The Weather Channel is the only known source that can provide this service in a timely fashion and at a low cost due to the extensive stock footage they have on hand. They can also air the video on their channel, therefore, they are the only known source who can provide this service. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the award date is on or after September 22, 2003.
