- UNICOR intends to enter into a five year firm fixed price requirements type contract for Panels and Tops for FCC Allenwood, PA and FCI Sheridan, OR. The solicitation number is FN1168-03 and this solicitation is issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP). The items consist of Cherry Tops, Round Table Tops, Top Core, Conference Table tops, Magazine table tops, Ash White Particleboard, Cherry Cherry Particleboard, Corner Table Tops, Interior Edgeband Top Core, and Interior Band Top Core. Additional specifications will be available in solicitation document. Delivery is 45 days for tops for initial delivery order and 21 days after receipt of each subsequent delivery order for Allenwood. Delivery is 30 days for panels for initial delivery order and 14 days after receipt of each subsequent delivery order for Allenwood. Delivery is 30 days for tops for initial delivery order and 14 days after receipt of each subsequent delivery order for Sheridan. Delivery is 30 days for panels for initial delivery order and 14 days after receipt of each subsequent delivery order for Sheridan. Offerors will be required to maintain a consignment inventory. The minimum delivery order quantity for Allenwood is 100 panels/tops, Maximum delivery order quantity for Allenwood is 2500 panels/tops and the combination delivery order quantity for Allenwood is 5,000 panels/tops. The minimum delivery order quantity for Sheridan is 100 panels/tops, Maximum delivery order quantity for Sheridan is 2500 panels/tops and the combination delivery order quantity for Sheridan is 5,000 panels/tops. Offerors are required to submit one sample ??x4?x4? cherry on particleboard and one sample ??x4?x4? ash to the Product Support Center (PSC), 9595 West Quincy Avenue, Littleton, CO 80123, Attn: Rick Juliano. Samples must be received by September 5, 2003 and shall reference solicitation number FN1168-03. THERE WILL BE A PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE HELD AT OUR ALLENWOOD FACILITY ON THURSDAY AUGUST 21, 2003 AT 9:00AM. ALL OFFERORS SHALL SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION TO TIFFANI BALESTRINI, CONTRACT SPECILAIST BY FRIDAY AUGUST 15, 2003 TO BE ADMITTED TO FACILITY THE DAY OF THE PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE: NAME, SSN, AND DRIVERS LICENSE NUMBER. TIFFANI?S EMAIL ADDRESS IS TBALESTR@CENTRAL.UNICOR.GOV. This is a full and open competitive Request for Proposal. Offerors are advised that the Government intends to evaluate offers and award on a multiple award basis per factory location. There will be four awards made, one for tops for Allenwood, one for panels for Allenwood, one for tops for Sheridan and one for Panels for Sheridan. Offerors shall submit signed and dated offers to the Office Furniture Group, 320 First Street NW, 400 Building, 7th Floor, Washington, DC 20534, ATTN: Bid Custodian. This information shall be displayed on the outside of the envelope with solicitation number FN1168-03 and offer closing date. All offerors must complete the Business Management questionnaire in Section L of solicitation document with three references. References must be for same or similar items only. Offerors who have not done business with UNICOR shall complete the ACH form which can be found on UNICOR?s webpage. Fax proposals are accepted at 202-353-7794, Attn: Bid Custodian, the fax cover sheet shall reference the solicitation number and offer closing date and time. All offerors must acknowledgment all amendments. Offers received after the exact time and date specified will not be considered. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer represents the best value to the government. The following factors shall be used to evaluate proposals: 1) ability to meet specification, 2) past performance and 3) price. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer will be mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. The solicitation will be available on UNICOR?s website at www.unicor.gov and eps.gov on or about August 13, 2003. No copies of the solicitation will be mailed. All responsible offerors may submit an offer which will be considered.
