Description
DESCRIPTION: Contractor to provide Radiation Therapy Simulation, Treatment, and Follow-up care for patients of VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (VAGCVHCS). The Contract period will be for a period of One Year from date of award. This is not a solicitation Announcement. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis only. The purpose of this Synopsis is to gain Knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications relative to NAICS CODE 622310 with a size standard of 29 Million. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate Acquisition Decisions. See submittal requirements below. After review of the responses to this Sources Sought Announcement, a Solicitation Announcement will be published in the B.O.S. Responses to this Sources Sought Announcement will not be considered as an adequate response to any forthcoming Solicitation Announcement. All interested offerors must respond to the Solicitation Announcement in addition to responding to this Sources Sought Announcement. The VAGCVHCS is seeking sources for a potential contract to provide all necessary labor, equipment, supplies, materials and supervision to provide Radiation Therapy Simulation Treatment, and Follow-up care fore patients of the VAGCVHCS. The treatment facility must be within The boundry of Bay County, Fl.(which is the locale of the VA Outpatient Clinic located at 6703 West Highway 98, Panama City Beach, Fl., 32407. The contractor shall be licensed, and in compliance with Federal and the State of Florida requirements in performing Radiation Therapy Treatment. The contractor shall provide complete palliative or curative treatment in various modalities, as necessary. A palliative course of treatment will include, but not be limited to: Simulation, Dosimetry, Daily Treatments throughout the treatment course, Port film verification, Block Set-ups, Ordering any required laboratory tests and follow-up, Treatment and follow-up of any side effects of irradiation, Brachytherapy, Conformal therapy, Stereotactic Radiology. A Curative course of treatment will include, but is not limited to: Simulation, Dosimetry, Daily treatments throughout the treatment course, Port film verification, Ordering any required laboratory tests and follow-up, Block set-ups, Computerized CT planning, Additional dosimetry and simulation, as required, Treatment and follow-up of any side effects of irradiation, Brachytherapy, Conformal therapy, Stereotactic Radiology. Potential bidders should respond to the following questions:(1). Is your business a large or small business in relation to the NAICS Size Standard. (2) if small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business, or a small disadvantaged business? (3)If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and is your firm certified under Section 8(a) of the Small business act? (4)Is you firm certified as "hub Zone"? (5) is your firm a woman-owned or woman-operated business? (6)Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veterans Owned and/or Veteran-owned? This is not a request for proposals and does not obligate the Government to issue a solicitation or award any contract. Responses to this notice shall be mailed or faxed to attention of Billy R. Campbell (90C-1) VA Medical Center, 200 East Beach Blvd, Gulfport, Ms., 39507. If provided via Fax., send to 228-563-2675 with a cover sheet identifying the attention to name/address. Telephone and/or e-mail responses will not be accepted. Firms responding to this announcement, failing to provide all of the required information cannot be used to help the Government make the acquisition decisions, which is the intent of this synopsis. No solicitation is currently available. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced later in FedBizOpps and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought synopsis will not result in inclusion to a prospective bidders mailing list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
