- Description
- The US Special Operations Command intends to issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) USZA95-03-T-0026 for a software/hardware upgrade of 55 each Vertical Instrument Display Systems (VIDS) used on MH-6 aircraft. A fixed-price simplified acquisition is anticipated. The effort shall add external conformable EPS strapping tables; field installable Goliath aux tank strapping tables; correct the IMS functionality; provide an on-site software rep to verify field installed strapping tables; and install a turbine outlet temperature display correction to six units. Inspection and acceptance shall be at destination by the Government. Delivery is required within 60 days after award date. FOB point is destination. Delivery point is L-3 COM Warehouse, Lexington KY. DPAS assigned rating is DO-A1. This RFQ does not provide for full and open competition. Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is FAR 6.302-1, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The intended source is L-3 Communications, Alpharetta, GA. Technical data (specifications and software code) is not available nor is it economically feasible to acquire such data. A quotation package will be issued on or about 21 Aug 03. Quotations must be delivered to U.S. Special Operations Command, Technology Applications Contracting Office, Attn.: AMSAM-TASO-K, 401 Lee Blvd., Fort Eustis, VA 23604-5577, no later than 4:00 PM local time on 22 Sep 2003. Emailed or faxed offers are acceptable. Offerors shall submit firm fixed-price offers only. Note 22 applies.
