- MOBILE GLOBAL TRACKING/MAPPING SYSTEM (MGTM). The Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB), Contracting and Purchasing Division, requests bids (on all or none basis) from responsible sources to provide the following: MGTM mobile unit (RF) to be installed in 10 MCLB vehicles. MCLB has Base-wide digital street map in ARCVIEW shape file format (MGTM will assist MCLB to obtain a Base-wide digital street map to MGTM mobile units). Vendor will provide the necessary training to MCLB?s dispatchers. Specific requirement: Delivery and installation must be completed within 14 days from receipt of award, followed immediately by training . The MGT/M System will support the following vehicle tracking functions: real-time instant polling, constant polling, multiple-time window polling schedule, variable polling schedule, easy reporting, travel history recording, travel history playback, z oom-in/zoom-out, pan, and map centering automatic and interactive street labeling. Display of vehicle and incident information; read and report vehicle location; touch screen selection of origin and destination points for route calculation; display of shortest path between designated locations; turn-by-turn directions for each leg of the desired route; playback of history records for vehicle activity analysis; instantly poll dispatcher to request immediate location updates; and find locations by inputting a street address or cross streets. Must withstand a minimum of ?50 to 150 deg. Fahrenheit. Must include a minimum of one (1) year warranty. This is an unrestricted combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items, prepared IAW the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solici tation for interested parties and a written solicitation will not be issued. Interested parties must request a Statement of Work by close of business (4:00 PM PST), 20 August 2003. All responsible sources will be considered. Submitters bear the burden to ensure that the Expression of Interest (EOI) reaches the designated CO on time and should allow a reasonable time for facsimile transmissions to be completed. All pages of the transmission must reach this office before the deadline specified and pages of a facsimile transmission that arrive in the office after the specified deadline will not be considered. The submitter bears the risk of non-receipt of facsimile transmissions and should confirm by e-mail address provided in this solicitation. EOIs sent via U.S. Postal Express or hand carried must be delivered to Marine Corps Logistics Base, Warehouse 8, Door 14A, Barstow, CA 92311 during weekdays between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM PST.
