Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), Division Newport, Rhode Island intends to issue a fixed price Purchase Order to Teac America, Inc. (TAI) on a sole source basis to obtain one (1) each Data Acquisition System comprised of the following TAI elements: one (1) each TAI model number GX-1-MU Main Unit, one (1) each TAI model number GX-AIT Data Storage Tape Drive, two (2) each TAI model number AU-GXEPIO Expansion Units, twenty-two (22) each TAI model number AR-GXPA DC Constant Current Input Modules, and one (1) each TAI model number Adapter 1480 PCMCIA-SCSI-2 notebook PC card interface for GX-1. The Data Acquisition System, comprised of the above elements, will be used to collect data from various instruments used for measuring displacement, velocity, acceleration, and strain during CHIRP shock tests. A Performance Specification will be included with the RFQ. Delivery is FOB destination Newport, RI no later than 2003 SEP 30. The Data Acquisition System is sole sourced to TAI because it will be used to interface with a resident, Code 4122, TAI Data Acquisition System comprised of the same elements. 100 percent electrical, mechanical, and software compatibility between these systems must be ensured and TAI, the sole designer distributor, is the only supplier who can satisfy this requirement.
