Description

NA SYNOPSIS ARMY AVIATION SUPPORT FACILITY Fort Leonard Wood PROJECT NUMBER 290174 The Missouri National Guard desires a firm, fixed-price contract to construct an Army Aviation Support Facility at the south east corner of the Forney Army/Waynesville Regional Airport, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Base bid consists of a single-story, masonry and structural steel supported, 51,870 SF primary hangar and administrative building on shallow/individual column footings, with slab on-grade construction atop granular drainage fill and a single-story, structu ral steel supported, pre-engineered, slab on grade, 19,014 SF unheated aircraft hangar with auxiliary HAZMAT and mechanical rooms. Site work includes demolitions, rough earthwork and rough final grading, seeding, drainage, asphalt driveways, concrete sidewalks, concrete and asphalt aircraft paving, chain-link fencing, site and pavement lighting, water and sewer main extensions and com plete utility services to the building. Primary heat is provided by LPG. Primary building is faced partially with brick veneer and metal wall and accent panels and has a standing-seam metal roof. Work includes all typical architectural finishes, specialty equipment installations, HVAC, plumbing and electrical work. Building u tilizes a fully sprinkled fire suppression system of wet-pipe system in the administrative areas and AFFF system within the hangar. Secondary unheated hangar is faced with metal wall panels and also has a metal roof. Building utilizes a fully sprinkled fire suppression system of dry-pipe AFFF system in both the hangar and support areas. Two interior finish and specialties options will be evaluated with the base bid. 10 Additive bid items will be evaluated in order of priority. The additive work consists of providing an epoxy finish on the hangar floor in lieu of sealed concrete, up-grades of asphalt concrete pavements to portland cement concrete pavements, adding tra nslucent panels to each or the two buildings, adding a loading dock, adding a brick veneer to the unheated aircraft hangar, and providing landscaping. All work is to be performed in strict accordance with the specifications and drawings. The estimated magnitude of construction as stated in FAR 32.204 is greater than $10,000,000. Performance period for this project is 730 calendar days from receipt of t he Notice-to-Proceed. The North American Institutes Classification System (NAICS) is 233310. The small business size standard including affiliates is no more than an average of $27,500,000 revenue for the previous three years. The estimated bid opening date is 19 September 2003. The time and date of the Pre-Bid Conference will be identified in the Solicitation. Contractors must be registered through Central Contract Registration (CCR) in order to receive award.
