Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F61040-03-Q0010. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-04 and DFARS Change Notice 2002-0002. All responsible sources shall submit a written proposal, which will be considered. Facsimile submissions will also be accepted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the solicitation is 334519; the small business size standard is 1,000 employees . This combined synopsis/solicitation is unrestricted. Item/Services Description: CLIN 0001 ? One Washer-Extractor (75-80 lb capacity), Milnor Model # l36021 V5J, OR EQUAL CLIN 0002 ? One Divided-Cylinder Washer-Extractor (200 lb capacity) , Milnor Model # 42044 SP2 OR EQUAL Electrical Requirements: 110/220V 50/60 cycles or 220V 50 cycles NOTE: FOB POINT IS CONSOLIDATION & CONTAINERIZATION POINT, NEW CUMBERLAND, PA. PLEASE PROVIDE NUMBER OF PIECES TO SHIP, ESTIMATED WEIGHT AND ANTICIPATED SHIPPING DATE AND SHIPPING CHARGES. The Azores Islands are located in the mid-Atlantic, some 2,300 miles east of New York and 900 miles west of Lisbon, Portugal. Lajes Field is located adjacent to the airport, on the NE corner of the island (close to Praia da Vitoria). Local Airport designation is TER. There are local hotels on island; using internet search engines (Keywords Lodging, Terceira, Azores). PROPOSAL PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS: The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall provide a firm fixed-price offer. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offer whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items with their offer. Successful contractor must meet all the responsibility requirements of Subpart 9.1 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). A written notice of award or acceptance of offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party.
