- Description
- Lockheed Martin Space Operations/Consolidated Space Operations (LMSO/CSOC), as an agent of the Government, is offering items surplus to the U.S. Government for sale "as is," "where is" with no express or implied warranties to include fitness for intended purpose. Bidders are encouraged to inspect the property at our subcontractor's (BAE) facilities located at 9060 Junction Drive, Annapolis Junction, MD 20701-1116 prior to bidding. Failure to inspect property does not constitute grounds for withdrawal of a bid after opening. The description is based on the best available information. However, the Contractor makes no warranty, express or implied, as to quantity, kind, character, quality, weight, size, or description of the property or its fitness for any use or purpose, variations in quantity or weight. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids and to waive any technical defects in bids. Purchaser agrees to pay the full purchase price for awarded property at the prices quoted in the bid. The property will be available for inspection on Tuesday, August 12, 2003 from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Responsive bids must be received by COB (4:00 P.M. Eastern Time) on Tuesday, September 2, 2003 (MINIMUM BID IS $250.00.) Mailing address for all bids is: BAE Systems, 9060 Junction Drive, Annapolis Junction, MD 20701-1116. Responses shall be submitted in a sealed envelope. The words "SEALED BID" must be clearly visible on the outer sealed envelopes along with the DUE DATE. All bids must be marked for the attention of Deborah Bowers and reference Formal Sale Number 0253-S2101A and bid closing date and time on the outer packaging. Bid Opening is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 3, 2003. Results will be available after Award Notification at email address Pamela.Lane@csoconline.com or by contacting Ms. Pamela Lane, CSOC Program Property Administrator at (281) 853-3034. The successful bidder shall, within 15 calendar days after notice of award, make payment by Certified/Cashier check, or Money Order to the National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) at the address specified in the notice of award. Title to the property sold under this invitation shall vest in the Purchaser when full payment is made. Purchaser shall be entitled to obtain the property upon vesting of title and delivery shall be made at 9060 Junction Drive, Annapolis Junction, MD 20701; removal will be at the purchaser's expense within 30 calendar days of notification of bid award. The Purchaser shall reimburse the Contractor for any damage to the Contractor's property caused by Purchaser's removal operations. If additional time is required to remove the property, the Contractor, without limiting any other rights, may require the Purchaser to pay reasonable storage charges. If the successful Bidder fails to make full payment, remove property by the specified date, or comply with any other terms and conditions of sale, the Contractor reserves the right to sell or otherwise dispose of any or all such property and to charge losses and incidental expenses to the defaulting Bidder. All risk of loss, damage, destruction from any cause whatsoever shall be borne by the Purchaser after passage of title. The Purchaser or Bidder agrees to save the Contractor and Government harmless from any and all claims, demands, actions, debts, liabilities, judgments, costs, and attorney's fees arising out of, claimed on account of, or in any manner predicated upon loss of or damage to property of, and injuries to or death of any and all persons whatsoever, in any manner caused or contributed to by the Purchaser or Bidder, their agents, servants or employees, while in, upon, or about the sale site on which the property sold or offered for sale is located, or while going to or departing from such areas; and to save the Contractor and Government harmless from and on account of damages of any kind which the Contractor may suffer as the result of the acts of any of the Purchaser's agents, servants, or employees while in or about the said sites. It is the Bidder's responsibility to ascertain and comply with all applicable Federal, State, Local and multi-jurisdictional laws, ordinances, and regulations pertaining to the registration, licensing, handling, possession, transportation, transfer, export, processing, manufacture, sale use or disposal of the property. Purchasers or users of this property are not excused from any violation of such laws or regulations either because the United States is a party to this sale or has had any interest in the property at any time. A copy of the Terms and Conditions for Formal Sale 0253-S2101A is attached and it is required that a signed copy be returned with your Bid Reply (also attached) should you decide to submit.
