- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic (MLCLANT), Norfolk, VA is procuring Armed Security Guard Services to be performed at U.S. Coast Guard AS Borinquen, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and Base San Juan, San Juan, Puerto Rico and Rio Bayamon Housing, Bayamon, Puerto Rico. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supplies, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and management necessary to provide Armed Security Guard and Patrol Services. These services are required for the protection of personnel, property, facilities and land at Air Station Borinquen?s Housing Complex, Hangar Complex, Lighthouse Area, CGES Warehouse Site, and Ramey School and, possibly, the Air Force Solar Observatory Property; and, at Base San Juan and Rio Bayamon Family Housing. The solicitation will be issued in accordance with the policies and procedures pursuant to FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in conjunction with, the policies and procedures for evaluation and award prescribed in Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. A firm-fixed price service type contract with a Requirement portion will be awarded. The Base Year of performance will be from 1 October 2003 through 30 September 2004 with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government, for total contract duration not to exceed 5 years/60 months. This requirement is set-aside 100% for eligible 8(a) firms under the Competitive 8(a) Program in accordance with FAR Subpart 19.805. The applicable NAICS code is 561612 with a size standard of $10.5 million. The solicitation, and any subsequent amendments, will be available electronically on the MLCLANT Internet Web site http://www.uscg.mil/mlclant/fdiv/fdiv.html on or about 8 August 2003 with a closing date for receipt of proposals by 5 September 2003.
