- Description
- The Taiya River EWP Project will moderate erosion along the west bank of the Taiya River in the City of Skagway, Alaska. The project consists of constructing a log jam at the upstream end of the river bend and two rock weirs further down the bend. In addition, 1,200 cottonwood poles will be planted in the river bank along the 600 feet of private property river frontage. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (27-MAR-2003). IT ACTUALLY FIRST APPEARED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS SYSTEM ON 05-AUG-2003.
