Description
NA Description: The Mare Island alter/repair of Bldg 1294 project is a Design/Build, Competitive 8(a) firms in California, procurement to repair and upgrade existing building 1294. Estimated Cost Range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Building 1294 wa s constructed in 1970 as a US Navy Barracks. The property was transferred to U.S. Army Reserve in FY 2003 under the 1993 Base Re-alignment and Closure process. In 1993, when it ceased to function, the facility was still a Barracks. It has been sitting em pty for 10 years. It must now be transformed into a general purpose office/administrative facility. Repair work includes replacing aging floor tiles, roofing, ceiling, lighting, and doors, mechanical, electrical and telecommunication systems to meet th e current building and life safety codes. Upgrade will modify the building interior to include lobby, exclusive and common administrative offices, classrooms, and toilets and create mailroom, locker room and physical fitness area. Limited site work include s landscaping and repair and resurfacing of privately owned vehicle (POV) parking. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is a competative 8(a) Set Aside, and all responsible 8(a) contractors in the state of California may respond. All offers are due on or abo ut September 17, 2003/1500 pm. All offers shall be in the English language and in US dollars. This procurement will be conducted under FSC Code: Z199. The NAICS Code for this project is 236220. The size standard for this code is $28.5 Million. ORDERING SOLICITATION: The solicitation for this project will be available on the Sacramento District Contracting Divisions Internet Home Page for downloading. Any future amendments to the solicitation will also be available for download from this web site. Requests for copies of this solicitation in any other format than what is advertised will be disregarded. It is important that you first go to the Contracting Division Home Page at http://ebs.spk.usace.army.mil and register as a plan holder. Click on (Sacramento/DACW05), this takes you the page that shows all of the projects currently being advertised for the (Sacramento) District. Look f or the Solicitation/Request for Quote that you are interested in and click on it. In order to receive notification of any amendments to the solicitation, you are required to register for the plan holders list. Look for the blue bar that says, Solicitatio n Registration. Right below is a red bar that reads, Register for this Solicitation, click on it. The next page requires you to establish a user name and password. If you have previously accessed the web page, you can gain access by entering your User Name and Password. If this is your first time, establish a user name and password. Keep the user name and password and share it with anyone else in your organization that is responsible for registering your firm on our plan holders lists.
