Description

NOTE: The Solicitation Issue Date has been revised to 4 August 2003. The Proposal Due Date has been revised to 3 September 2003 at 14:00 Local Time. The site visit date has been revised to 20 August 2003 at 9:00 Local Time. Offerors planning to attend are requested to fax the names of all attendees to Jim Dinwoody at 937-257-2825 not later than 14 August 2003. The scope of this project consists of providing all labor, equipment, appliances, devices, and materials; performing all removals and miscellaneous work; and performing all operations necessary to complete the following: All work required in the demolition of existing roof membrane, roof trim and accessories, and installation of membrane system, roof drains, trim and accessories. Work includes, but is not limited to, replacement of roof access doors, temporary roofing, removal and reinstallation of roof top mechanical and electrical equipment. In addition, the work shall include concrete repair work consisting of repairing and protecting (Cladding) exposed concrete arches. Work includes repair and restoration of exposed concrete arches and tower wall, electrical systems, and protecting all exposed concrete arches with new metal coping and metal siding. Funds for Project Number 93-0142 are not presently available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. The estimated price range is between 1,000,000 and 5,000,000. Period of performance 350 days. This is an UNRESTRICTED procurement in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program Act of 1988, Public Law 100-656 (15 U.S.C. 644 note). There are approximately 40 pages of the solicitation, 304 pages of the specifications, and 46 sheets of drawings. 5. A hard copy of the solicitation will be available for review at Dayton Builders Exchange, Minority Contractor Business Assistance Program and F.W. Dodge Division. 6. Registration page will be attached to the web site. You are not required to register. However, when you register you will receive notice of any amendments and/or addendums. If you have not registered, it will be your responsibility to check the web site for any changes to the solicitation. 7. You shall provide a signed copy of the SF1442 at the time and place specified in the solicitation. 8. Contractors that are Debarred, Suspended, or Proposed for Debarment are excluded from receiving contracts. Agencies also shall not consent to subcontract with these contractors. Bids prepared by Debarred, Suspended or otherwise ineligible contractors are at the risk and expense of the contractor.
