Description

The U.S. Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command, Pacific intends to contract for the design and fabrication of eight replacement Jacket Water Coolers. Coolers will be fitted on WAGB Polar Class Ships Service Diesel Generators (SSDG). The installed SSDG’s are ALCO eight (8) cylinder, 251 series. The new coolers shall provide heat removal for the jacket water system, lube oil system and generator air cooler system. The coolers will conform to MIL STD or ASE Code. Delivery will be required by 1 Oct 03 to Naval Engineering Support Unit, (NESU), 14 S. Massachusetts St., Bldg 7, Seattle WA 98134-1192. For Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts, loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further information concerning the STLP call the OSDBU at 1-800-532-1169.
