Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command, Program Manager, Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defense Systems is conducting a market survey to identify commercially available medical evacuation enroute care systems (ERCS). The intended uses and mandatory characteristics of the system shall include/provide: equipment and supplies for two critically injured/ill, but stabilized casualties for two hours, be capable of providing ventilatory support, intravenous therapy, physiological monitoring, medical administration, supplemental oxygen therapy, airway maintenance, head and limb immobilization, continued resuscitation and hemorrhage control, and management of infectious human and material waste and suction. The system must operate in the expected tactical medical evacuation flight profiles of tactical helicopters, tilt rotor aircraft, all DOD strategic lift and cargo aircraft. The system must be man portable by two people for 100 yards in a single trip over uneven terrain. The system shall have a set-up time from placement on the aircraft to fully operational in ten minutes (five minutes objective). The system shall have a breakdown time (disassembly and prepared for offload from the aircraft) in ten minutes (five minutes objective). The system must operate without interfering with other aircraft systems nor be interfered with from existing aircraft systems. Vendors who believe they have a product(s) capable of meeting this requirement are requested to provide product literature, brochures, price lists, warranty coverage, business size and any other relevant information. Responses shall be submitted by no later than 27 August 2003 to Contracts Directorate, Code CTQ3WS, ATTN: Ms Wendy Stevenson, 2200 Lester Street, Quantico, VA 22134-6050. This is not a request for quotation or proposal. No solicitation document exists. This is not to be construed as a commitment by the government to procure these items, nor does the Marine Corps intend to award on the basis of this sources sought/market research or otherwise pay for the information solicited.
