Description
NA Construct Phase 1 of 3 phases for a consolidated maintenance complex. The base bid will consist of a 27,130 SF high lift maintenance facility and associated hardstand, including approximately 17,545 SY of concrete pavement, renovation of one structural ba y in existing Building 2243 for warehouse storage and small arms repair and arms vault in support of DOL Operations that includes structural upgrade and new standing seam roof and maintenance complex fire suppression system. The track maintenance building will consist of building structure, CMU veneer with grout filled CMU backup, metal wall panels and translucent insulated wall panels. Supporting facilities include utilities; electric service, exterior and security lighting, site and facility fire protec tion and alarm systems, paving, walks, curbs and gutters, POV parking, oil and water separators, security fencing and gates, information systems and site improvements. This contract will also include options for phase 2 work which will include the renovat ion for a second bay in Building 2243, a 27,130 SF Wheel Vehicle Maintenance Shop, a 26,2509 SF Preparatory/Paint building and a 3,365 SF Entry Control/Inspection Building, organizational parking up to 38,445 SY and supporting facilities including utilitie s, electric service, exterior and security lighting, site and facility fire protection and alarm systems, paving, walks, curbs and gutters, POV parking, oil and water separators, security fencing and gates, information systems and site improvements. Demol ition of various existing buildings will also be included in these options. A pre-bid conference and site visit for this project is scheduled for August 28, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. CDST, at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Passes to enter the post are not required; howeve r, you must enter the post through the Key Gate at I-44, which will be posted with guards on duty. A picture identification will be required for all personnel entering the post, along with proof of insurance and vehicle registration. The pre-bid conferen ce will convene at 1:30 p.m. CDST, in the Conference Room, First Floor, Building 1950 (Department of Public Works), located just north of the intersection of Sheridan Road and Currie Road. Adequate parking is available. Prospective offerors who plan to a ttend the conference MUST provide, by facsimile, a list of names and titles of representatives, not to exceed three (3) per offeror, who will attend the conference NO LATER THAN 11:00 A.M., August 26, 2003. The list should be transmitted to RANDY BRATCHER , fax number 918-669-7495. Estimated cost range of this project is $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available on/or about August 19, 2003, and will be provided on Compact Disk (CD-ROM). THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED T O ONE (1) PER FIRM. Plans, specifications, and planholders lists will not be provided in a printed hard copy format.
