- Description
- Contractor shall provide all materials and labor to complete Project 568-02-208, Heat Recovery/Air Systems Dietetics at the VA Black Hills Health Care System, Hot Springs, SD. Work includes replacement and upgrade of two make-up air units and controls upgrade to HVAC and exhaust hood control panel associated with the Dietetics Building # 53. The existing make-up air units supplying the Dietetics Kitchen shall be removed and replaced with new units. Kitchen exhaust hood control panel shall be upgraded to increase the functionality of the hood system. The HVAC controls and equipment shall be upgraded from a pneumatic to a DDC controls system for the Dietetics equipment. Work associated with Building 43, Laundry, shall consist of removal of abandoned high and medium pressure steam piping and associated equipment, along with the installation of new unit heaters and associated piping within Building 43. All work and materials shall be in accordance with construction drawings and specifications. Construction estimate is between $100,000 and $250,000. Requests for specifications and drawings must be in writing addressed to, Contracting Officer (FIN 20), 500 North 5th Street, Hot Springs, SD 57747. There is a refundable $50.00 deposit for the bidding documents. Checks should be made out to the "Agent Cashier," but forwarded to the attention of the Contracting Officer. Bid opening date is scheduled for September 11, 2003 at 3:00pm local time. Applicable NAICS code is 235110, Plumbing, Heating and Air-Conditioning Contractors. This solicitation is set aside for small businesses. Subject to the availability of funds.
