- Description
- The Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration, Sierra-Nevada Regional Office has a requirement for a load forecasting program that incorporates specific weather data associated with customer locations. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation is attached. To be considered for award, offers must (1) Meet salient characteristics specified in the solicitation; (2) clearly identify the item by i) Brand Name, if any; & (ii) make or model number; (3) Include descriptive literature such as illustrations, drawings, or a clear reference to a previously furnished descriptive data or information available to Western; & (4) Clearly describe any modification the offeror plans to make in a product to make it conform to the solicitation requirements. Mark any descriptive literature material to clearly show the modification. Western will evaluate products on the basis of information furnished by the offeror or identified in the offer & reasonably available to Western. Western is not responsible for locating or obtaining any information not identified in the offer. Unless the offeror clearly indicates in its offer that it will provide brand name referenced in the solicitation. This procurement is being advertised as full & open competition, with offers being accepted from large & small businesses. All qualified, responsible business sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to Western is required within 30 days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to Western Area Power Administration, 114 Parkshore Dr., Folsom, CA 95630. Quotations are due by August 15, 2003 at 12:00 PM PST & may be emailed or faxed to Western Area Power Administration to sbates@wapa.gov or FAX Nbr (916) 985-1933. (If the end product(s) quotes is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled ?Buy American Act ? Supplies,? the offeror shall so state & shall list the country of origin. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received. Facsimile quotations shall be accepted. It is critical that offerors provide adequate detail to allow evaluation of their offer (see FAR 52.212-1(b). Offerors must provide copies of the provision at 52.212-3 Offeror Representation & Certifications ? Commercial Items with their quotes.
