- Description
- Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the Moss Landing Marine Laboratory (MLML) for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Auke Bay Laboratory. Purpose of proposed contract is to provide classification of seafloor substrates based on video and multibeam sonar data and designing a GIS database for the project. Dr. Greene of MLML has extensive experience in application of geology to seafloor habitat mapping, and is an internationally respected leader in this field. MLML has been selected and approved as subcontractor under a project awarded to NMFS. Funding under subject project is contingent upon MLML providing its portion of subcontract work, and no other source can provide.
