- MICROFORM CABINETS This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number F33601-03-T-0198 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. Small business standard is 500 employees. This is a small business set-aside. Small business link is http://sba.gov. The associated NAICS is 337214. A Firm Fixed Price Contract is anticipated. Quoted prices must be delivered FOB Destination. FOB point is Wright Patterson AFB. This is being conducted as a commercial item procurement utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Acquiring product is Russ Bassett Microform Cabinets, color putty, with factory installed locks. 1. Three (3) each Microfilm cabinets (RXL) are to be extra deep lateral with 12 drawers, size 56”height x 43 1/8”width x 22 ½”depth. Model Number RXL-12, Part Number DYRBRXL12LK48 2. Five (5) each Microfiche cabinets (F), vertical fiche, 10 drawers, size 56” height x 21 ¼”width x 28 5/8”depth. Model Number F-10, Part Number DYRBF10LK48. Responding suppliers shall include descriptive literature (catalog sheets) with their quotations to allow the government to make a complete evaluation and appraisal of the offering with respect to the requirements set forth in this synopsis/solicitation and the salient characteristics document. The Contracting Officer will evaluate “equal” products on the basis of the evaluation factors listed in the solicitation and the information furnished by the quoter or identified in the quote and reasonably available to the contracting officer. THE CONTRACTING OFFICER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOCATING OR OBTAINING ANY INFORMATION NOT IDENTIFIED IN THE QUOTE. Include manufacturer’s name, model number and specifications in your quote. Unless the quoter clearly indicates in its offer that the product being offered is an “equal” product, the quoter shall provide the brand name product referenced in the solicitation. A copy of FAR Clause 52.219-1, Small Business Program Representations, must be completed and submitted with the quotation. A copy is available as an attachment. Award will be based on best value to the government. Evaluation factors are price, delivery time, product design. Contractor must be registered in the CCR prior to award. The Government will make an award form this request for quotation to the responsible quoter whose quote will be most advantageous to the Government. The Government reserves the right to not make an award. By submission of a quote, the quoter acknowledges the requirements that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation.
