Description

The USDA, ARS has a requirement for repairing/replace roof on Bldg 203 at the United States Department of Agriculture, Beltsville, Maryland . The performance period is 45 days. The order of magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. This procurement is solicited under the HUBZONE (Historically Underutilized Business Zone) Program, FAR Subpart 19.13 as a total small business set aside. The NAICS Code is 238160, with a small business size standard of $12.0 M average annual receipts for prior 3 years. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) using procedures from FAR Part 14, Sealed Bidding. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid is responsive to the terms of the IFB and is most advantageous to the Government, considering price and price related factors. The solicitation (07-3K47-03) will be available to interested parties through electronic data interchange only. Internet address is http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Notification of any changes (amendments) to this solicitation shall be made via the Internet. Any questions regarding the solicitation must be in writing and can be faxed to 301/504-5009 no later than May 16, 2003. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to check the Internet site for any posted changes, amendments and answers to questions received. The solicitation will be released (ready for downloading) only from the internet site on or about May 2, 2003, no documentation will be mailed or given out from the Contracting Office. Bids will be due on or before June 02, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. A public bid opening will be held. A site visit is scheduled for May 13, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. meeting at the USDA, Bldg. 203, Off Powdermill Rd. East, Beltsville, Maryland. The Government recommends that contractors bidding on this project visit the site. All responsible contractors may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the Government. Anticipated award is June 9, 2003.
