- Description
- The Presidio Trust, a Federal government corporation, plans to solicit sealed bids from qualified contractors to perform construction work for the improvement of the Transit Hub Site located at the Presidio of San Francisco, California. The Presidio is a National Park and a National Historic Landmark District. Scope of Work includes: (a) selective demolition of existing site features and paving; (b) site preparation, grading and construction of new parking lot sections including asphalt repair and paving, application of a slurry coat, traffic striping, concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters; and (c) installation of new street lights within the project area. Estimated start date September 2003. Period of Performance is ninety (90) calendar days from the Trust?s written Notice to Proceed (NTP). The Trust anticipates awarding one firm-fixed-price contract. Estimated price range is between $350,000 to $750,000. Minimum qualifications include: Valid California Class A Contractor?s License; Certificate(s) of Insurance; Bonding capacity. Davis Bacon Act (U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage rates) applies. A MANDATORY site visit is scheduled for Thursday, August 7, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. Meet at Building 34 Graham Street, Presidio of San Francisco. Only those contractors attending this mandatory site visit may bid this contract. Plans and Specifications may be made available for viewing and ordering (TBD) via a public copier company (to be named) at the contractor?s sole expense. Sealed Bid Due Date (public bid opening) is scheduled for Aug. 19, 2003. DATES ARE TENTATIVE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE. This procurement is set aside for competition among Small Business concerns qualified under the criteria and size standards in 13 CFR Part 121 for NAICS Code 237310 ($28,500,000 average annual receipts). Qualified small businesses (including small disadvantaged businesses and minority- and women-owned small businesses) are strongly encouraged to respond. The Presidio Trust is a wholly owned federal government corporation and is not subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
