- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, intends to solicit, negotiate, and award, a Firm Fixed price (FFP) contract to ATK Ordnance and Ground Systems LLC of Mesa, Arizona on a sole source basis for six (6) M242 25mm Cannon and eight (10) M242 25mm Receiver Housing units. This requirement is for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, Louisville Detachment in support of LHD-8 New Ship Construction MK 38 MOD 1 Gun Mounts and CNO Project Task Force Hip Pocket. ATK Ordnance and Ground Systems LLC is the sole manufacturer and owner of the proprietary data rights for the M242 25mm Cannon and Receiver Housing units. ATK Ordnance and Ground Systems LLC is the only known source that possess the in-depth technical knowledge, experience, skill and capability required to manufacture the M242 25mm cannon and receiver housing units in a timely manner to mee t the Government?s required delivery schedule. Fabrication and delivery of the M242 and receiver housing units is estimated to be 18 months after receipt of contract award. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this requirement is 3489 and the applicable Federal Supply Classification (FSC) Code is 1005. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332995 and the size standard is 500 employees. The anticipated release date for this solicitation is on or before 14 August 2003.
