- Description
- This serves as notice of intent to procure construction services for demolition of existing barbed wire fencing and furnishing and installing of new chain link fencing at Lahontan Dam. The services include installation of approximately 6,625 linear feet of fencing, 14 gates, and 10 chain link panels. A solicitation will be posted on this website in approximately 15 days, with a bid due date in approximately 45 days. The solicitation will not be sent directly to any offeror. A site visit is scheduled for 9:00 AM on August 19, 2003. The site visit will last approximately three hours. Potential bidders are encouraged to attend the site visit. Attendees should proceed to the Lahontan Dam Tender's House, which is clearly marked by road signs at Lahontan Dam. Further direction may be obtained by contacting the Lahontan State Parks Office at (775)867-3500 or the Lahontan Basin Area Office of the Bureau of Reclamation at (775)882-3436. Attendees will be responsible for providing their own transportation to and during the site visit. Two-wheel drive vehicles should be adequate. During the site visit offerors will caravan from area to area, and then hike to a representative sample of places where the fence is to be installed. Attendees of the site visit are advised to wear boots suitable for hiking and adequate water for personal consumption. This acquisition will be conducted under full and open competition.
