- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR SubPart 12.6. The 319th Contracting Squadron at Grand Forks AFB, ND intends to award a purchase order for the purchase of a trench roller. Requirement is as follows: trench roller shall have at least a 32" drum equipped with "pads". A smooth drum roller is not acceptable. Roller shall have an operating weight of not less than 3000 pounds, drum diameter should be 20", width should be 32", overall machine width shall not exceed from width, machine length shall not be less than 80", height shall not exceed 48?. Roller will be equipped with an air-cooled diesel engine with an estimated 20-horse power. Fuel consumption should not exceed 1.25 gallons per hour at full rated power. Fuel tank capacity should be 5.5 gallons. Vibration frequency should be roughly 2400 vibrations per minute with total force of 8500 pounds. Compaction depth should be 28? at working speed of 68 square feet per minute. Travel speed shall be no less than 100 feet per minute. Machine should be able to work on a grade of 50 degrees and be remotely operated (tether). Offeror must provide warranty information on equipment. This acquisition will be accomplished in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and will be based on competitive quotes. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423810; size standard of 500 employees. The following provisions and clauses can be viewed through Internet access at the Air Force FAR Site. Web address is http://farsite.hill.af.mil. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial, 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offerors must include with their quotation a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial items (July 2002) and DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certification, Commercial Items (Nov 1995). In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contract Registration (Nov 2001), prior to receiving any contract award, contractors must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contractors can obtain further information on the CCR database at the web site http://www.ccr.gov. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written (paper/hard copy) solicitation will not be issued.
