Description
NOUN: Compressor Case, Appl: J-85 Engine. Multiple Year contract is contemplated consisting of one basic year with four (4) annual options. Total BEQ Contract Quantity: 290 ea. NSN 2840-01-035-2030 OK, P/N 6029T29G03. DESCRIPTION: 8 inch diameter. PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: Corrosion resistant steel. FUNCTION: supplies compressed air in large volume to the combustion section of the engine. Destn: Tinker AFB OK 73145-3032 Delivery: To be specified on each delivery order and estimated to be 25 each per month beginning 210 days ARO until complete. The approximate issue date will be 18 Aug 2003. The anticipated award date is Oct 2003. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Written proposals are required. To: Electro Methods, Inc., Jet Engine Technology, Orenda Aerospace, and General Electric Co. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A Qualification Requirement is applicable, see Note 23. However, all quotes received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be reviewed by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed above. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source selection process. The Omdudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call the Ombudsman at (405)736-3273.
