- Description
- Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with KUTZARI for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), SW Fisheries Science Center. Purpose of proposed contract is to provide monitoring and protection of leatherback turtles nesting on the Pacific coast of Mexico. Personnel at KUTZARI have been active in leatherback research and conservation at the leatherback sites over the past fifteen years and have developed conservation measures in collaboration with the local stakeholders (government and local communities). KUTZARI has been endorsed by the Mexican government to carry out this work under the NMFS-SEMARNAT bilateral accord (MEXUS). Questions concerning the proposed contract may be directed to Randall Brown. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
