- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to award a sole-source purchase order to Cameca Instruments of Trumbull, Connecticut, under the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1(b) - Only one responsible source, to provide service in moving a Cameca IMS 4F and Cameca 1270. The contractor will check the instruments to determine status, dismantle, supervise the move, re-assemble and perform testing for functionality. The contractor is the manufacturer of the instruments and has the specific expertise to provide this service which makes them uniquely qualified to fulfill the requirement. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price purchase order on or about August 11, 2003. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is not a request for quotation. There is no RFQ available.
