- LBL anticipates awarding a fixed price IDIQ/Requirements contract for the following: Work includes but is not limited to, all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, grounds maintenance and cleaning services necessary to keep grounds and buildings in a safe, neat, clean healthy and attractive condition. The Contractor shall be flexible and capable of adjusting performance to satisfactorily clean and remove refuse as necessary. The Contractor shall be responsible for all routine daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and holiday services as well as periodic services that may occur at indoor or outdoor special events at the facilities/buildings. These services include, but are not limited to, mowing, landscaping, edging, trimming, weed-eating, herbicide application, and leaf removal; cleaning and sanitizing floors by sweeping, mopping, and/or vacuuming carpets; cleaning and sanitizing drinking fountains and restrooms including, but not limited to toilets, sinks, fixtures, urinals, showers, shower curtains, partitions, mirrors, faucets, soap dishes and dispensers, rubber mats and carpets, hand dryers, exposed pipe, shelves, glass, towel dispensers, sanitary receptacles, change stations, walls, doors, ceilings and windows, dusting baseboards and other areas that collect dust, and check and refill soap and paper dispenser; cleaning ceiling and door vents and fans; emptying waste paper or other type trash and garbage receptacles and cans; cleanups due to leaks; cleaning pavilions porches, stairs, steps, campsites, fire rings, cleaning light fixtures and replacing light bulbs; cleaning interior/exterior of buildings, cleaning and replacing fire rings, char-grills, and stoves and fireplaces; cleaning, removing litter and other debris at campsites, tightening loose fixtures, and cleaning gutters and removing debris from building roofs; cleaning and maintaining picnic tables, laundry machines and areas, playgrounds/equipment, beach and other recreation areas, shelter buildings, amphitheaters, soda machines, snack shacks, campsites, barns/stalls, camping shelters/bunkhouses, horse washes/hydrants, tethering poles, manure bins, and trails/roads/culvert maintenance, splitting, stacking and placing firewood, policing grounds and buildings for litter, at the SBR and EBR mowing at the entry, and mowing the area around the hunter check station. All work should include the use of proper equipment and cleaners, sanitizers and/or disinfectants. A site visit / pre-proposal conference will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2003, in the LBL Administration Building beginning at 8:00am. Reservations for the conference can be made by contacting Glen Kinder at (270) 924-2045. All reservations must be made no later than Thursday, August 28, 2003. Transportation for the tour of LBL will be provided to no more than 3 representatives per contractor. Electronic or CD copies of the solicitation package will be available free of charge on Monday, August 18, 2003. Paper copies of the solicitation package will be available for a cost of $0.08 per page. The solicitation package is estimated to be 1,000 pages. Test program procedures under FAR Subpart 13.5 are being used for this solicitation.
