- NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. We have a requirement for a Truck Chassis with a 4000 gallon water tanker. Salient characteristics for the Chassis are: 250 HP, automatic transmission, 20,000 pound Front Axle, 18,000 pound fla t leaf front suspension, 40,000 pound tandem rear axle, 6.43 axle ratio, rear suspension at 40,000 pounds, 11/32 inch x 3 and 1/2 inch x 10 and 15/16 inch steel frame, 1/4 inch C channel inner frame reinforcement, 45 gallon fuel tank, 315/80R22.5 20 ply r adial front tires, 11R22.5 14 ply radial rear tires, heater, defroster, and air conditioner. Salient characteristics for the tank are: 3/16 inch ASTM A-36 steel shell semi elliptical, 3/16 inch ASTM A-36 heads inset/break design, 3/16 inch ASTM A-36 baffle s break design, 1/4 inch ASTM A-36 U shaped subframe, 3/16 inch ASTM A-36 doubler plate full length, heads 4 inch to 6 inch offset welded 360 degrees inside and out dual shield, 24 inch manway with lid, anti-slip walkway from ladder to manway, 2 and 1/2 in ch hydrant fill with swing spout, grip strut ladder rear, 3/4 inch pipe handrails OSHA approved, rear sight gauge with shut off calves, fenders welded to tank 10 guage, rear mudflaps, vortex breaker plate with screen, vulcanized rubber wear pad between tan k and frame, front of tank spring mounted, rear of tank solid mounted, frame mounted tail lights, back up alarm, wire encased in rubber, pump 750 GPM at 60 PSI, mechanical seal pump, Five (5) 3 inch air valves, cab controlled, lighted control panel, 2-fro nt adjustable fan sprays, 2-rear adjustable fan sprays, 1-side adjustable spray, 1 1/2 inch jet valve, all schedule 40 plumbing (no hoses), all flex couplers pipe joints, DOT ICC bumper, front valve guard bumper, 1-rear mounted sight gauge valve with guard s, full thru manifold integral with tank. Delivery is required within 90 days of contract award. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14 dated 23 June 2003. This re quirement is set-aside 100 percent for small business. The applicable NAICS code is 333924 with a size standard of 750 employees. There is one contract line item (0001) for a quantity of one. Your price shall be FOB destination. Inspection and acceptance s hall be at destination. We prefer to make payment by VISA credit card. If you do not accept VISA, you must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (http://www.ccr.gov/). Award shall be made to the technically acceptable, low price offeror. You shall submit commercially available literature on your unit that demonstrates that your product meets all of the above salient characteristics.
