Description
The Department of Defense, TRICARE Management Activity has a requirement for claims processing and associated customer support services to claims submitted by and on behalf of Military Health System (MHS) beneficiaries who are eligible for both TRICARE and Medicare benefits, for services received in the United States and the District of Columbia. As a result of this solicitation, one contract will be awarded, and will be referred to as the Tricare Dual Eligible Fiscal Intermediary Contract (TDEFIC). The period of performance will include a 9 month transition-in period, plus five one-year option periods. This solicitation is unrestricted and is expected to result in a requirements type contract. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 30 August 2002. The date for receipt of proposals is anticipated to be on our about 27 November 2002. Copies of the solicitation will be available electronically on the TMA website at (http://www.tricare.osd.mil/contracting/healthcare/solicitations/TDEFIC) -- Paper copies will not be available. To access the solicitation, go to the above website. If you wish to receive information regarding the request for proposals during the solicitation process, you must register as a Potential Offeror at the website identified above. Questions regarding the solicitation may be submitted using the (E-Mail Questions to the Contracting Officer) option on the TRICARE website. ******************************************************************************************************************* Note: Potential offerors are hereby notified that the Service Contract Act (SCA) will apply to this procurement, and the RFP will include the applicable clauses and provisions. The place of performance is unknown, however, several possible places of performance have been identified and wage determinations are being requested from the Wage and Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor for the following areas: South Carolina, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Florida. The contracting officer will also request wage determinations for additional possible places of performance if asked to do so in writing. Written requests must be received by the contracting officer no later than close of business, Monday, 16 September 2002.
